Leah Claire

I liked it a lot. I have a giant fancrush on Allison Janney, so she was probably my favorite part. I also love Allie Grant, so I was happy to see her. Really, great casting for every role.

The movie itself, without being specific or too spoilery, was funny with some sad, and sad with some funny. I’m not entirely sure it hit that contemplative note it was going for, at least not for me, but the “message” was also not so trite and silly that I wanted to sneer at it. There were no neatly-packaged answers or heartwarming moments, which made it feel more more real and poignant.

Colfer himself was very good - it felt sort of autobiographical, as if he were playing himself, but not in a terrible marty stu way.
